Well we've come to a decision on our "new" office, it will no longer be the office. It makes much more sense the more we thought about it to take the "office" and turn it into our guestroom/suite. The guest bathroom is right next to it. It could be a totally private suite because it's on the lower level. That would leave the entire top floor for us wacky Wheatons, and the office would be near our room, if the baby was fussy at night our guests could get to sleep because they're far enough away. The suite has a nice leather couch, heater, tv/xbox and of course the bed and end tables as well as a dresser. It makes complete sense to us, the bad part is it's another big project with moving everything around but will be much nicer in the end. We plan on having it done before the end of this month because J's parents will be visiting for a week, should be nice! I'll post pics of the new transformation when it's completed!

I LOVE where we live!
Can I just say Lake Champlain is gorgeous?? Well it is! We had the luxury of going to someone's house on the lake yesterday, it really made me want to be in the water and on a boat. I'm a total lake girl! Not Laker's girl!! LOL The setting was absolutely beautiful and I can only dream of having a house on a gorgeous lake some day. If you want to see how beautiful it is in person just come and visit and we'll show you!! Check out my other lake photos on Flickr and enjoy!! Just click on the pic to take you there!

Family shot
It's still so hard to believe we're a family. Our lives have completely changed for the better. Peanut is such a joy to be around and is very easy going too! We don't have many family photos together but we need to remedy that because when I look at this shot it reminds me just how blessed we are that God chose us for Lorelei. Our little girl is such a perfect blend between us. Jason is an amazing father and is not afraid to jump in when I need a break, how blessed am I? VERY!!!! Thank you Lord for my amazing family!!!

Mother's Day 2007
Well we had our first Mother's day together and what a day it was. For some reason Peanut was super needy and needed me all day so it really was "mother's day". I was so exhausted by the end of the day and was ready for the day to be over. It was really weird for me to think this is my holiday now and not just Mom's or Nana's day. We went over to Aaron & Jamie's house after church and we all were singing Happy Mother's day to the tune of Happy Birthday to my mom and then they said my name too strange!! How did I get here? Where has time gone? Not sure but I wouldn't trade being Lorelei's mom for anything in the world, she's an amazing daughter and I'm nuts about her! I can't wait to celebrate Mother's day next year ... I won't be breastfeeding!!!!!!! I'll be able to enjoy it more!

Love Finished ATC
I just got into making ATC's or Artist Trading cards and I love it!!!! They are small and quick little pieces of art! These are so much easier to whip out during nap time for Lorelei than a much larger painting! I start with a vintage playing card and then start layering various things like stickers, my digital art, ephemera (old papers, cards, photos), rubber stamps and more!!! Hopefully I will have a huge collection of my own as well as collected, I already own 2 from other artists so I'm on my way! Hope you like them because I'm hoping to make a lot more, I just gotta get down to the antique store and get some cards and stuff!

Look Ma, I'm a Frog!
Lorelei must be part amphibian, she absolutely loves her bath time each night. She kicks and kicks until almost all the water is out of the tub! She squeals in delight when she accidentally splashes water in her own face or she splashes me or daddy. She loves every minute of it and gets upset when we pull her out of the tub and stick her in her towel sometimes. We have to immediately go into the whole PEEK - A - BOO routine and then she's all smiles! She loves the towel from Grandpa Wheaton and is usually all smiles while wearing it! She is getting too long for it though, she's got long legs, where the heck did she get that from? Not me!!! Well anyways just wanted to say I love my little amphibian water girl!!! She's going to love her swim lessons at 6 mos. old! I can't wait to do that with her!!!

New Range & Microwave
The latest update in our kitchen before we start gutting it!!! We replaced our nasty little off white oven from the 70's and replaced it with the cutting edge new Whirlpool appliances! It's awesome and has so many capabilities, I need a book just to learn how to use both of them!!! YAY!!!

3 Month Photos!
I can't believe little nutty is 3 mos. already! I'm doing her photos in 3 month slots, so her next shots will be at 6 mos. She's getting so big and you can really tell from the photos! I can't wait to pick them up at Sears!!!!
So in love
God has blessed us with an amazing little girl named Lorelei. She is the perfect child for Jason and I and I can see how God knew what he was doing when He created her for us. She is such a joy to be around all the time, don't get me wrong she has her moments, but for the most part she's just chilled out and laid back like her Mommy & Daddy. Lorelei knows how to go with the flow, she's flexible like a birch tree and she's always so happy! Everyday I see wonder in her eyes as she explores her world around her, she lights up when she see's the photos on our fridge or when we walk by one of my paintings hanging on the wall. She's so curious and wants to be involved in every aspect of my day. I didn't know we could fall so totally and completely in love with a baby like we have with her. When we're not with her we feel lost, so strange!! I never thought we'd be like that. She's amazing and I can't wait to see her flourish and become a Proverb's 31 woman as she grows older. Having a baby certainly changes everything, but for the better!! I love you Peanut you are our world!

Beware I'm a cliché killer!
Another custom necklace from my friend who does jewelry. Everyone knows my infamous nickname, Cliché Aimée because I'm constantly screwing up clichés! So I had a necklace made. The front says Beware, and the insides say I am a ... Cliché Killer LOL

Lorelei's Easter trip to Florida
Well we're back in NY and what was greeting us this morning???? SNOW!!! I know it won't be here long but geesh, it's supposed to be spring!!!! OK enough rambling about snow.
We had a great trip to FL! You know how I was worried about Peanut freaking out and us getting dirty looks on the plane? Well I was worried for nothing, she was absolutely AMAZING! We were so proud of her, no screams or cries at all on the plane, just happy time and sleep time. She slept through turbulence and the landing on both ways!!! I've been calling her my portable baby because she did so great on the trip. Jason and I are so proud of her and how she did. She met most of the extended family on Easter when we went to see them in Deltona. She had so much fun and was mostly smiles the whole time we were there.
Grandma and Grandpa were great, they house was set up similar to home. Grandma went all out and bought baby gear to make her and us feel at home. She had a swing, a tub, slept in a pack n play, had a bouncy seat and also her own outdoor tent for when we were outside. That made a world of difference and I think is the reason why she adjusted so well and was able to stay on schedule. Thanks so much Grandma!!! While we were there we noticed that Lorelei has started teething and sucking her thumb! That kid is growing so fast!
The trip went by really fast and we were able to see everyone we wanted to see for the most part. We didn't get enough time with Josh & Cynthia or JJ but they all made an effort. It was good to see them when we did.
Jason and I didn't do one thing we thought we would do for ourselves. We went through withdrawel on our last day because we left the nut with Grandma. We wanted to do some clothes shopping for ourselves, where did we end up? Baby Gap, we only shopped for Lorelei and we got a gift for her boyfriend Jackson too. We were so pathetic, we missed her so bad and we were wandering around trying to figure out what we wanted to do but couldn't think of anything. We ended up having coffee at JJ's girlfriend's coffee shop where she works. What a day!
We almost didn't make it to the airport on time but we were blessed when we got there. We accidentally went into the wheelchair line of security oops, anyhoo J asked and we were able to skip the massive crowds through security and just barely get to our gate for the preboarding!!! Thank God!
Anyhoo, we're home and adjusting. :)

My Lorelei Necklace
Look at this gorgeous necklace I had made for myself! I have a friend I met on Etsy who does custom jewelry and she happened to love my artwork so we did a swap, one of my paintings for this necklace and another one so the prices evened out. I just love how it turned out and can't wait to get it!!!! It has garnets (her birthstone), freshwater pearls, and it looks like either turquoise, jade or adventurine stones. It's all sterling silver too! It's absolutely beautiful, this is now my favorite necklace of all!

A place to call my own :)

Well Jason was super sweet to me last night, he created an area for my crafts!! We have so much construction and stuff out of order because of all the room shuffling we've been doing that my art/craft supplies are everywhere, now I have a table, with a lamp, a cushy chair and some shelving to organize everything. It's just temporary but it will be great in the meantime. I've been bringing everything up to the dining room table which isn't very big and it always looks so darn messy. Now this is out of the way and much better! I'm so happy! Now maybe my art can commence!! I plan on making a lot of Christmas gifts this year so this will totally come in handy since the room it's in is a last priority to get finished.
Speaking of rooms, we're trying to decide on what to put on the floor in the Dunder Mifflin room now, we've ripped up the old carpet and we're trying to decide on new carpet with the super stainmaster guarantee type thing or laminate, I'm leaning towards laminate but J wants carpet for cost effective reasons. I can't see putting carpet in there with 4 cats though, cats puke way too much for that. So not sure what we'll do but hopefully we'll do it soon.
Also wanted to say thanks to our friends who read this, I never know it, but I've been getting a lot of support from you guys telling us it's ok to feel overwhelmed and stuff about the baby, thanks so much! We love you all!

Can we say OVERWHELMED???
Hi all!
I'll try to keep this one short! Lately Jason and I have been so overwhelmed with everything going on in our lives. We're still freaking out at the fact we're having a baby first off and then that we have so much to do before our little girl gets here!!! We have our moments of excitement but right now the stress of everything else seems to be taking over. We have so many projects to finish at home, not enough time seeing that my due date is 10 weeks and 2 days away!! I was on the verge of tears the other night just thinking about it all, I'm sure I'm just more emotional due to the hormones but this is a lot to soak in all at once, I guess that's why God makes you wait 9 mos. before the baby is done cooking in the oven! This 9 mos. has flown by way too fast, not that I enjoy being pregnant, but that I thought we would have a huge amount of time to get ready. The only thing I have enjoyed about being pregnant is feeling the baby move or kick inside of me. I know Jason is feeling frazzled about a lot and he tries to stay strong for my emotional state but I wish I could help relieve his load of projects, I wish there was more I could do. So if you do read this please pray for us to get over this rough time and help us to focus on what needs to be done before Lorelei gets here. I would greatly appreciate it!!!!!
Thanks!

Whirlwind of a Week!

Well we had a surprise visit from Jason's parents last weekend and into the week. They were here from Monday to Sunday and it was quite the visit. We had been trying to plan a week for them to come up sometime in October but it didn't look like it would work out. Then we get a call Friday night saying they were going to be here on Monday just 2 days away and they were coming for a week. The reason being is that Bertha's boss owed her some money and he booked the tickets for them without giving them any say in the dates or times. We were so caught off guard by the whole thing Jason wasn't really able to take any time off of work because of it. So anyways the whole point in them coming up was to visit with us and also to help us with some projects which we had to figure out what we were going to do because we hadn't planned on any of this. So we had them help us in our new office to get that started. Bertha was a working machine!!!! First off the room was completely trashed with construction mess from other projects, she and I were able to organize it in a day and get rid of a bunch of junk. We also finally got rid of our garage sale junk we had left over!!! Why didn't I do that sooner, The Salvation Army took almost everything we had!!!! Anyhoo, Jason would work on the lighting and ceiling with his Dad after work each night so we have new lighting, new ceiling and it's also texturized! It looks great. We went out to one of our favorite restaurants one of those nights, My Greek Kitchen and had a nice meal but after that we were in Lowe's or the "Club" as we call it picking out paint and materials for that room. The rest of the week Bertha worked her butt off painting it!!! She was so meticulous! I helped when I wasn't feeling nauseous. We picked warm coffee colors and will probably do a coffee theme in there. There is still a lot to do like replacing the flooring with radiant heat and tile as well as window treatments and trim but for the most part it's complete thanks to Mom and Dad Wheaton! The pic above is the after results. I was so physically and mentally drained from the week, I'm glad it's over. On our way to VT to bring them to their hotel Sunday night we got a call from our good friends Chris & Lea they wanted to come and visit this weekend, which they are!! We won't be working though it will be a nice relaxing visit with some good friends! They come in tomorrow night and will probably leave on Sunday afternoon.
In other news, I'm officially 7 mos. pregnant as of yesterday! Boy did I feel it too! My stomach was so hard and it was kind of painful. The only time I felt good yesterday was when I was sleeping. I know it will probably get worse and I'm ready for it to be over with. I find myself increasingly getting nervous as my due date approaches with lightening speed!!!!! It's only 11 weeks and 6 days away! I'm officially freaked!!!! The baby is still breech and she has been that way the entire time, if she doesn't turn in time I may have to have a c-section, it's all so scary to me the whole process, I know it should be a natural thing but this is my biggest fear coming true! I guess once I've conquered this I won't be scared of much. So that's about it from here!

Birthday Weekend

Hello all!
I thought I would show you my big belly pic taken on my birthday which was yesterday. We had a great weekend, it was too busy as usual but we had more of a leisurely weekend than lately. Friday night we went out with friends to dinner which was fun. Saturday morning Jason woke up early and went on a hike with Nate up to Owls Head which is in Keene, they took some incredible pics of the mountains and foliage up there. I wish I could have joined them, maybe next year. While they were doing that I was hanging out with my other pregnant friend Amanda and we had lunch and did some shopping, we both were either going to parties that night or hosting them. I had a jewelry party I hosted for a friends sister who sells Lia Sophia jewelry. I was able to get some free jewelry from the sales at the party so it was worth it.
Sunday was church which was good and then afterwards Nate was cooking lunch for all of us as Mom and Dad's house which was absolutely incredible!!! He cooked a homemade shepherds pie with stew beef that was slow cooked in Guinness!! Boy was it delish! Then my mom had made her famous White on White cake which is my all time favorite cake in the world, I then caught on it was my birthday party with the fam. I had no clue which is so funny because usually I catch on early. It was great, I got some nice gifts from the family and Jason bought me a beautiful necklace with a peridot shaped in a heart and a bunch of diamonds pendant. It was a great day!
Monday, Oct. 9th my b-day, was a normal day, I spent most of the day working on a project for City Church for their Halloween outreach and when J got home we went for a drive in the mountains to take pics and just spend some time together which was so nice. We got some goofy shots! It was so much fun just being us. We stopped by our friends Brian & Barb's house in Jay, NY and chatted for about 20 minutes then headed back to Plattsburgh for a yummy Italian meal at Mangia's. It was so good, we haven't eaten there in forever!
So that's it, that was my birthday in a nutshell, oh, BTW I've caught up to J now, I'm officially 33.
TTFN!
